Focus Venue Warsaw Festival

Focus Venue

Beam Steering Technology for Concert Sound.Focus Venue is a fully integrated active concert sound system with built-in cutting-edge amplification, DSP and digital networking. It allows for precise control of dispersion characteristics / beams in real time, using intuitive software. The system is always flown and stacked straight - no mechanical curving is needed. It has a compact size and offers full scalability, fast and safe rigging and a significantly reduced system set-up time.Benefits:

  • Extremely even and balanced sound coverage, from the front row to the very back
  • Excellent sound quality, clarity, an enormous SPL and great dynamics
  • Unparalleled flexibility. Store and recall presets within milliseconds. Quickly respond to changing event conditions.
  • Perfect visual integration into architecture and scenery, or beside video screens

Applications:

  • Mid- to large-scale concert sound reinforcement for festivals, concert halls, stadia etc.
  • High-class installations in concert halls, theatres, sport arenas etc.

Instead of using one type of full-range module, Focus Venue consists of separate high-frequency and low-mid modules:FV-100 (high-frequency module):8 × 1˝ (1.75˝ diaphragm) compression driver8 × 1.5˝ (4˝ diaphragm) compression driverManifold horn-loaded waveguide design16 × 250 W CLASS D amplifiers16 × DSPMax. SPL: 145 dBOvercome the Acoustical Restrictions of Conventional Line Arrays. Thanks to the close distance of Focus Venue’s high-frequency drivers and its manifold horn-loaded waveguide design, comb filter effects do not occur. (These will occur, by definition, when using a conventional line array.) Therefore, natural sound and great clarity can always be guaranteed. Perfect Beam Control in real time.   Quiet on Stage, but Full On for the Audience.   Fast & Safe Rigging - the Fohhn Interlock System.

Fohhn Na-11 for PC

NA-11

Remote cable operation with the NA-11 Fohhn-Net USB adapter.
The NA-11 Fohhn-Net USB Adapter is an essential tool for configurating all devices in a Fohhn-Net via PC.

Linked via RJ-45 connector or XLR sockets for use of multicore or conventional microphone cables. The NA-11 doesn´t need an installation software and can be used to several PCs. You only have to install the Fohhn Audio Soft user software on your PC before use.

The Fohhn Control Network (Fohhn-Net).
The remote control devices are extremely user-friendly and give the user complete control over the audio system from one central location. Individual devices and entire systems can be operated synchronously from one of several devices, opening up a whole range of different application possibilities. All Fohhn active speaker systems, DSP amplifiers and DSP controllers are equipped with two Fohhn-Net network interfaces as standard, which can be used to monitor and remotely operate each individual device. If you are using several Fohhn devices, you can easily interlink and monitor or remotely operate them from a central location.

The Fohhn-Net system is nothing more than a control network, i.e. no audio data is transferred, only control data. Fohhn-Net can operate a maximum of 254 devices simultaneously via cable at distances of up to 1800 m. At live events, you can use any available microphone cables or your multicore and for fixed installations, you can use conventional telephone or network cables. Bus or star networks are also an option here. A circular cabling arrangement will achieve additional redundancy and ensure that the network will function correctly if interrupted at any point. The Fohhn-Net was designed in line with established industrial standards and is very reliable due to a stable transfer protocol and permanent monitoring (continuous feedback during data transfer).

PS-2 Sub

The Fohhn® PS-2 is a high power subwoofer system, equipped with a 12“ high performance sub low loudspeaker, equipped with a 4“ voice coil and an extremely heavy-duty Neodymium engine. The system captivates with high efficiency within it’s extended low frequency range, which was achieved by a special tunnel geometry. In this way the system features a remarkable low frequency efficiency/housing dimension ratio. The system offers a high dynamic behaviour, generated by using a significantly adjusted parameter’s loudspeaker with high magnetic flux.

PS-9 active sub

Fohhn presents a new world first: Patented DPC technology with electronically controlled 21” woofer powered by a 8500 watts* DSP amplifier is the beginning of a new era of subwoofer technology. Frequency range 28 Hz - 110 Hz. Can either be used as an ultra-low extension to a conventional sub or as a complete full-range subwoofer system.Extreme power, combined with maximum precision and exceptional sound quality. Fohhn subwoofers are renowned for all these qualities, which have also proved key factors in the development of our latest high-powered subwoofer.Using patented DPC technology in conjunction with an electronically controlled 21” speaker has enabled us to realize a whole range of requirements, including maximum precision and a dry controlled sound, as well as enormous sound pressure levels – even at the lowest audible frequencies.Fohhn’s PS-9 active, 21” high-powered subwoofer, with its constantly controlled speaker system and 8.5 kW (peak) amplifier power, has just redefined the whole concept of bass sound.*8500W peak power

PT 9 single

PT 9

Perfect sound and simple operation.

The Fohhn® WaveLine line array is a complete system consisting of perfectly developed speakers and specially adapted amplifiers and control technology. The Perform WaveLine is a completely symmetric line array that is capable of generating virtually identical acoustic sound patterns on the right and left and can be aligned accurately and symmetrically. The PT-9 operates with two of the most powerful 10” speakers (neodymium) currently on offer, which are positioned symmetrically so that the horn produces a dispersion angle of approximately 110° (twin coaxial). There is a diffraction gap between the two 10” speakers that separates the two bass reflex chambers with help from the multi-channel phase EQ. The spherical sound wave dispersed by the 2” tweeters is converted into a coherent wave front by the time delay in the multi channel phase EQ. The wave then exits the diffraction gap to produce a cylindrical wave across the entire frequency range. The 4” voice coils on the 2” high-frequency driver can produce a relatively deep crossover frequency (approx. 650 Hz), whereby the acoustic performance is drastically increased, preventing load dumps from 10” speakers at approx. 900 Hz.

Fohhn PT 70

PT 70

PT-70 - Horn-loaded. Cardioid. Plug & Play.

Fohhn expands its Perform-Series with the PT-70 – a high performance, 2-way loudspeaker system with cardioid functionality that has been specially developed for concert sound and touring applications. The new loudspeaker makes an ideal sound system for concerts in tents, halls and clubs, or for town festivals and smaller open-air events. It also acts as a solid extension for line arrays and large Beam Steering systems. For the rental market, the PT-70 has many applications as a multifunctional loudspeaker system.

The PT-70 contains two 12“ chassis with compression chamber and horn, plus a 1.4“ compression driver with CD horn. It features a passive crossover which splits up the loudspeaker's audio signal. An Intelligent Protection Circuit (IPC), a voltage-controlled semiconductor circuit, protects the high frequency driver from overload - quickly and reliably.

The loudspeaker system also features Convertible Dispersion Technology (CDT), which is registered as a utility model. This technology enables the PT-70 to be switched between cardioid and vented operation. In cardioid mode, the sound dispersion at low-mid range frequencies is effectively reduced at the system's back. Thus first-class sound reproduction and speech intelligibility are ensured.

The PT-70 has been solely developed for operation with Fohhn speaker presets - especially with Fohhn Class D amplifier D-2.1500: The system's equalizing occurs within the Fohhn DSP, which also includes all of the protective functions that required for a safe operation. Together with this amplifier and Fohhn subwoofers, the PT-70 delivers excellent results.
